Spring 2025 Course Registration

Virtual Virginia invites Virginia public schools/divisions and their students to register for spring 2025 online courses! VVA makes high-quality digital education available to all learners in the Commonwealth with no barriers to enrollment—regardless of each student’s academic history or geographic location.

Extended Enrollment Window

Did you miss the deadline to enroll in Virtual Virginia courses for the upcoming spring semester? VVA will open an extended enrollment window in January for spring 2025 and 2024–2025 full-year semester 2 online courses.

  • Extended Enrollment Window: January 13–14, 2025
    • Opens Monday, January 13, at 8 a.m.
    • Closes Tuesday, January 14, at noon

As always, VVA enrollments are provided on a first-come, first-served basis pending available openings in each course.

After January 14 at noon, only late/transfer enrollment requests will be accepted for all courses that run during spring 2025.

Virginia public school students: To register for VVA courses, talk with the school counselor or school/division coordinator responsible for VVA enrollment at your local school.

Highlights for 2024–2025 include:

  • No increase in enrollment fees for paid enrollments
  • Part-time and full-time enrollment available for students attending school in person or fully online
  • 140+ courses for grades 6–12, including six new course offerings in CTE, fine arts, and world languages
  • Dual enrollment opportunities for students to earn college credit or a work-ready cybersecurity certification
  • Daily synchronous instruction at select times, plus asynchronous learning experiences
  • Daily synchronous instruction for grades K–5 in core academics and special subjects, including computer science, fine arts, and world languages
  • All VVA enrollments are provided on a first-come, first-served basis pending available openings in each course.
  • All VVA instructors are licensed in Virginia and appropriately endorsed for the courses and grade levels they teach.
  • All students enrolled in Virtual Virginia courses remain affiliated with the local division ADM.
