OUTREACH PROGRAM

The VVA Outreach Program gives each Virginia public school division access to its own instance of the statewide learning management system (LMS) and online course resources at no cost, including free access to VVA support.

All VVA Outreach course resources are aligned with appropriate state and/or national standards and are designed according to National Standards for Quality Online Courses and Quality Matters course design standards.

Initially, VVA Outreach resources were designed as a foundation for teachers to use in their classrooms and modify according to their local school needs. Beginning in 2023–2024, all Outreach course resources will be updated to be consistent with expectations of high-quality instructional materials (HQIM): resources for teachers that are easy to use and aligned to rigorous standards.

Virginia public school divisions can import more than 100 K–12 course resources and online learning modules to the LMS at no cost. Annually updated by Virginia public educators, content includes instructor guides, fully developed lessons with interactive practice and assessments, and question banks.

All K–5 content is aligned with the Virginia Standards of Learning (SOLs) and Virginia’s Comprehensive Instructional Program (CIP). For grades 6–12, content for core academic and world language courses are aligned to the Virginia SOLs, and AP course content is developed according to the College Board’s curricular guidelines.

Participating public school educators are enrolled in the statewide Virtual Virginia Professional Learning Network (PLN) and may participate in workshops and statewide webinars.

Expected availability of online course resources, 2022–2023

Note: Expected availability of online course resources for 2023–2024 will be available soon.
