Pathways: Unique Programs (Grades K–12)
VVA Pathways encompasses a wide variety of personalized online educational opportunities for grades K–12. VVA Pathways includes full-time and part-time options, with a focus on flexibility through a variety of learning paths.

Daytime Supplemental SOL Instruction
The Goal-Oriented Active Learning Series (GOALS) provides students in grades 3–12 with supplemental online instruction in foundational skills and test preparation aligned to the Virginia Standards of Learning (SOLs) and offered during daytime school hours. The program is available to all Virginia public school students. Register now for SOL Test Prep instruction, starting in April.
Dual Enrollment
VVA offers the Commonwealth Dual Enrollment Pathways Program in partnership with Tidewater Community College. Students enrolled in the program have access to high-quality teachers, instruction, and resources while earning dual enrollment college credit or a work-ready cybersecurity certification.

Trailblazers
The Trailblazers Program is available to full-time students in grade 5 and encourages exploration, self-reliance, and independence in a supportive environment. VVA Trailblazers are motivated learners who receive primarily asynchronous instruction, with required weekly check-ins and small-group instruction.
Summer Credit Recovery
Credit recovery courses for grades 6–12 are available for online instruction by VVA teachers during Summer Session to help schools and students address unfinished learning and meet graduation requirements.
