Virtual Virginia’s new Summer Goal-Oriented Active Learning Series (Summer GOALS) program helps students prepare for online learning with VVA during the upcoming academic year.

Provided at no cost to families or schools, Summer GOALS features supplemental online instruction geared specifically to introduce students to VVA instruction, AP courses, and academic skills so they’ll be better equipped to succeed in their online courses as soon as courses begin.

Enrollment

Students enrolled in courses for the upcoming academic year will be automatically enrolled in their corresponding Summer GOALS course(s). Student participation in Summer GOALS is optional but highly encouraged.

There is no enrollment fee for Summer GOALS courses.

Instruction

Each preparatory offering will be brief in duration, with synchronous instruction by Virginia-certified teachers and asynchronous online course content.

In addition, participating students will create a student success plan that they can use throughout the upcoming academic year.

Summer GOALS 2022

Live instruction for Summer GOALS 2022 offerings ended August 3. However, students retain access to Summer GOALS content in the LMS.
