The aim of this course is to increase students’ knowledge and understanding of music. Basic musical concepts are taught through hands-on activities and listening experiences. Students create their own compositions using technology and learn about timbre, pitch, melody, harmony, rhythm, form, dynamics, duration, and music notation.
This course aligns with the Virginia Standards of Learning for Music.
