01008 Foundational Literacy & Language Skills (ESOL II)

This course is designed to lay the foundations of literacy in the English language. The content provides instruction for constructing grammatical sentences and developing them to form effective paragraphs. The course material then directs the learners to expand paragraphs with simple rhetorical styles. Students will also learn the necessary syntax, lexicon, and mechanics of language to facilitate the acquisition of English as a second language.

This course aligns with the WIDA English Language Development Standards, 2020.

Introduction to the English Language (ESOL I)
